东方海外货柜航运有限公司（以下简称“东方海外”）宣布，旗下一艘4578TEU集装箱船——“东方横滨（OOCL YOKOHAMA）”号成功完成首次船用生物燃料试航，该生物燃料由雪佛龙新加坡公司提供。“东方横滨”号于6月26日从新加坡港启航，沿东南亚—澳大利亚（AAA1）航线，停靠澳大利亚多个港口后，最终于8月5日返回新加坡港，结束为期41天的试航。据悉，这是中远海运集团在其集装箱船队中首次使用生物燃料，这种生物燃料可以在不改变发动机技术规格的情况下被用于船舶，预计可在货轮使用周期中减少约15%至20%的二氧化碳排放。

    Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced that the marine biofuel supplied by global energy company Chevron Singapore Pte Ltd. was successfully tested for the first time on the 4578 TEU container ship OOCL Yokohama. The ship starts the 41-day trial voyage on June 26, set out from Singapore port, docked at several Australian ports in the south, and returned to Singapore port on August 5. This is the first time that the COSCO-owned box line has trialled the use of biofuel in its fleet. This biofuel can be used on ships without changing the engine specifications and is expected to reduce exhausted carbon dioxide by 15% - 20% on life-cycle analysis.
