LNG船，又称液化天然气船，是在-162℃低温下运输液化气的专用船舶。LNG运输船是国际公认的高技术、高难度、高附加值的“三高”产品，与航空母舰、大型邮轮并称“造船业皇冠上的三颗明珠”，代表了造船工业的最高水平。

Q-max是目前最大的LNG运输船型，船长345米，船宽53.8米，吃水12米，“Q”代表卡塔尔Qatar，“max”代表卡塔尔LNG码头能够停靠的最大尺寸船型。Q-MAX型LNG运输船设计装载能力26.6万立方米，折合天然气1.6亿立方米，相当于80万户家庭一年的用气量。
