2023年5月18日是第二个国际海事妇女节。今年国际海事妇女节重点关注的是合作和网络在实现海运业性别平等方面的重要性。国际海事组织(IMO)秘书长林基泽强调了女性在海运业中的作用，表示无论是在岸上还是海上，女性都在推动海运业向脱碳、数字化和更可持续的未来过渡。为纪念这一节日，IMO在其英国伦敦总部召开了为期两天的会议，与会的相关组织及企业表达了对活动的支持并作出了承诺。国际运输工人联合会、国际航运工会(ICS)、世界航运理事会、公主邮轮公司等参加了此次纪念活动，表彰妇女为海运业做出的贡献，并倡导行业在性别平等方面采取更多举措。

The United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO) has today commemorated its second International Day for Women in Maritime. The day, marked on May 18, serves to underscore the crucial role of collaboration and networking in achieving gender equality in the maritime sector. IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim emphasized the role women play in the maritime industry, both on shore and at sea, supporting the shift towards a decarbonized, digitalized, and more sustainable future. The IMO is recognizing the occasion with a two-day conference at its headquarters in London, United Kingdom. Several other organizations and companies from the maritime sector also shared their support and commitments. The International Transport Workers’ Federation, the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the World Shipping Council, the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Princess Cruises, and Transport Canada also joined in the commemoration, recognizing the contributions of women in the maritime industry and advocating for greater progress towards equality.
