据悉，和记黄埔港口旗下的香港国际货柜码头（HIT）斥资7800万港元（990万美元）购置了两台新型岸边吊机，这是全港首批在机房顶安装有太阳能板的吊机，其光伏系统主要由84块太阳能电池板组成。以每天日照3小时计算，该系统可产生约42000瓦时（Wh）的能量，发电功率达98.75%。收集到的能量将为吊机的辅助系统供电，支持空调和照明等设备的运行。据报道，除配备太阳能电池板外，HIT还实施了一系列节能减排措施，如部署电动集卡，将轮胎式龙门起重机（RTG）的混合动力系统优化为电动系统，以提高用电效率。这些措施将有助于《香港气候行动蓝图2050》的落实，为香港特别行政区迈向碳中和做出贡献。

Hutchison Ports'Hongkong International Terminals (HIT) has invested HK$78 million ($9.9 million) in two new solar panel quay cranes, which are reportedly the first to arrive in Hong Kong.  The photovoltaic system on the quay cranes is comprised of 84 solar panels, with estimated three hours of exposure to sunlight every day, generating roughly 42,000 watt-hour (Wh) of energy with a 98.75 per cent system efficiency. Energy collected will be used to power auxiliary systems including air conditioning and lighting systems in the quay cranes. HIT has also implemented other energy-saving and emissions-reduction measures, such as the deployment of electric vehicles, the conversion of hybrid power systems of rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes to electric systems, and the promotion of efficient electricity consumption, all in line with the Hong Kong Climate Action Plan 2050 to achieve carbon neutrality.
