近日，轮胎巨头米其林公司的WISAMO翼帆系统已在船东Compagnie Maritime Nantaise（MN）公司的集装箱船“MN Pélican”号上安装完毕。据了解，WISAMO是一种充气可折叠和自动化的翼帆系统，它可为每艘船舶节省高达20%的燃料。该系统租用于各种船型，包括滚装船、散货船、气体运输船和油船等，可以在船舶设计阶段作为原始设备集成到船舶的整体设计中，也可以改装到已运营的船舶上。其可伸缩功能使船舶能轻松进入港口和从桥下通过。目前，集装箱船“MN Pélican”号在英国普尔和西班牙毕尔巴鄂之间的定期航线上运营，这将为WISAMO在实际的商业航行环境下进行测试提供机会，加快其实现商业化。

Michelin's Wing Sail Mobility (WISAMO) has been installed on the MN Pélican, a container ship owned by Compagnie Maritime Nantaise – MN. Designed as an inflatable, retractable, and automated wing sail, the WISAMO system has the potential to lead to up to 20% fuel savings per ship. The wing is suitable for various vessel types, including ro-ro vessels, bulk carriers, gas carriers, and tankers. It can be integrated during the ship’s design phase, serve as original equipment, or be retrofitted onto already operational ships. Its retractable feature allows for seamless navigation in ports and under bridges. MN Pélican is operating on the regular route between Poole (Great Britain) and Bilbao (Spain), the installation presents a crucial opportunity for Michelin to put the WISAMO wing to the test in actual commercial maritime conditions, taking the technology a step closer to its industrial development phase.
