Port of Felixstowe has launched OCEAN (Online Container Enquiry Analytics Notifications), the new online platform allows port users to track up to 200 containers simultaneously and swiftly. They can refine their search, filtering data including estimated time of arrival, estimated time of departure, rode haulage or rail service booking. It also provides a range of at-a-glance terminal status reports, such as the progress of vessel unloading/loading, VBS (vehicle booking service) information, slots released/used in the past 24 hours and haulier turnaround times. OCEAN focus of development has been on human-computer interaction and user experience, providing the right data in a way that is simple to use and delivers on customer needs.
