Grobblech公司应用新型钢材制造液化二氧化碳储罐

为节省项目建设成本,奥钢联旗下公司Grobblech拟用新一代碳锰钢(F550 TMCP toughcore®)取代传统的液化二氧化碳(LCO2)储罐材料——镍钢。奥钢联将与HB Hunte Engineering公司密切合作,使新型船用LCO2储罐即使在极低的温度下也能保持足够的强度与出色的材料性能。

Voestalpine Grobblech’s next generation Carbon Manganese steel “F 550 TMCP toughcore®” is replacing conventional Ni steel for LCO2 cargo tanks with considerable project savings. HB Hunte Engineering partnered with the Austrian heavy plates manufacturer voestalpine Grobblech in Linz, to utilize their newly developed VLF 550 toughcore® material with very high strength and outstanding material properties even at very low temperatures for upcoming LCO2 carrier projects.

Carbon Manganese Steel 碳锰钢

Tips:Manganese一词源于中世纪拉丁语中的magnesia,指“锰元素”。在意大利语中,Magnesia一词被误拼成Manganese,后被英语直接借用。碳锰钢(C-Mn)是一种利用固溶强化原理提高强度的钢种,通过提高锰含量来增加淬硬深度,改善强度和韧性。它的锰含量约在1.2%~1.8%之间。

荷兰燃料供应商Titan为Vox Ariane耙吸式挖泥船输送了约350吨的液化天然气。Vox Ariane号是海工承包商Van Oord公司船队中第一艘配备LNG燃料系统的挖泥船。此外,它也是新加坡建造的第一艘双燃料挖泥船。该挖泥船按照IMO Tier III的要求和法规设计建造,可在最大程度上减少燃料消耗和二氧化碳排放。

Dutch fuel supplier to the marine industry Titan has delivered around 350 tonnes of LNG to Van Oord’s trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Vox Ariane. The Vox Ariane is the first hopper in Van Oord’s fleet equipped with an LNG fuel system. Moreover, it is the first dual-fuel dredger built in Singapore and the first of three identical dredgers that Keppel O&M is building for Van Oord. The high-specification dredger has a hopper capacity of 10,500 cubic metres. Built to the IMO Tier III requirements and regulations, the dredger includes several features that considerably reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Tips:Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger直译为“拖曳式吸斗挖泥船”,因其通过置于船体两舷或尾部的耙头吸入泥浆,以边吸泥、边航行的方式工作,故得名耙吸式挖泥船。该种挖泥船施工时无需用锚或缆索定泊,具有机动灵活、效率高、抗风浪力强等优点,适合在沿海港口、宽阔的江面和船舶锚地作业。

As the lifeblood of the shipping industry, seafarers are at the heart of this evolution, implementing new regulations, learning new skills and adopting safer, more efficient working practices. As in previous years, the 2022 Day of the Seafarer event will predominantly be held on social media to draw attention to the contribution that seafarers make to shipping and world trade.This year's Day of the Seafarer theme - "Your voyage - then and now, share your journey" - invites seafarers across the globe to share images and information about what truly resonates with them – whether a positive experience or challenging circumstances. This campaign gives seafarers a chance to share what resonates with them currently, whether it's the crew change crisis being unresolved or the future of technology.

Tips:2010年6月25日,国际海事组织在菲律宾马尼拉召开《海员培训、发证和值班标准国际公约》(简称STCW公约)缔约国外交大会,会上决定将每年的6月25日定为“世界海员日”,提倡各国政府及航运组织向海员们致敬,希望社会各界能够持续关注海员的工作状况,采取措施切实维护海员合法权益,鼓励更多有志青年投身航海事业。



新型帆船可将海洋塑料转化为能源

Sailing Ship Turns Ocean Plastic Pollution into Energy

近日,法国船级社(BV)授予一艘新型帆船原则性认可( Approval in Principle,简称AIP)。该帆船不仅能收集海洋中的塑料垃圾,还能对其进行处理利用。这艘名为Manta的帆船长56m,宽26m,高62m,将配备包括垃圾发电装置在内的船上设施。Manta采用混合可再生能源技术为其提供动力,以减少碳足迹,实现50%-70%的能源自给。此外,它还将承担科学实验室的职责,对海洋塑料污染情况进行监测、分析,并成为一个向公众开放的教育平台。

Classification society Bureau Veritas has awarded its Approval in Principle (AIP) to an innovative sailing vessel designed to not only collect floating ocean plastic pollution waste but to process it. Called the Manta, the 56 meter long, 26 meter wide and 62 meter high sailing ship, will be equipped with an on-board factory including a waste-to-energy conversion unit. The Manta will be powered by a combination of renewable energy technologies to minimize its carbon footprint and achieve 50 to 75% energy autonomy. It will also serve as a scientific laboratory for the observation, analysis and understanding of ocean plastic pollution and as an educational platform open to the public.
