Sony dive into smart container technology

日本海洋网联船务(ONE)将与索尼网络通信欧洲分公司合作,在其全球船队中开发和集成智能集装箱解决方案。此次合作旨在把ONE丰富的货运经验与索尼领先的传感技术相结合,提高ONE集装箱船队信息的实时可见性,并帮助其更快速、更自主地做出决策,从而实现更高效的集装箱运输。ONE公司表示,对于客户而言,受益于智能集装箱解决方案,他们能够获取运输过程中的实时信息和可靠数据,进而提高沟通的透明度和灵活性。

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has partnered with Sony Network Communications Europe to develop a smart container solution across its global fleet. This collaboration will bring together ONE’s cargo shipping experience with Sony’s expertise in the development and innovation of world-class sensing and connectivity technologies. The integration of smart container solutions is slated to provide ONE with better visibility of its container fleet, allowing it to make faster and proactive decisions and enabling more efficient container movement. According to ONE, the technology-enabled containers will also provide customers with real-time updates throughout their shipment’s journey, resulting in more reliable shipping data for easy and transparent communication with relevant stakeholders. This will enable ONE’s customers to have greater visibility and transparency into their cargo, ensuring a more streamlined shipping experience.

RightShip:2022年一半的海上事故发生在港口码头

船舶审查机构RightShip的数据显示,2022年记录在案的海上事故共有2400起,其中有一半的事故发生在港口和码头附近:33.9%的事故(813起)发生在船舶靠港期间,26.9%的事故(645起)发生在船舶海上航行期间。该数据有多项来源,包括港口国监督PSC)、谅解备忘录(MOU)、船级社、船旗国、船东和管理人员的自我报告。港口当局非常清楚安全漏洞可能会对海员和岸上人员的生命造成严重威胁。为避免诸如此类的情况发生,许多港务局以及港口和码头内的运营团队正在采用高运营标准,以降低固有风险并保持高效运营。RightShip发现,相关的领导者会结合进港前和离港前的数据进行分析,并在社区中共享信息以改善供应链风险。这种方法有望提高港口运营的整体效率,同时减少代价高昂且耗时的事故。

RightShip data shows there were 2,400 incidents in 2022 where the location was recorded. Half of the incidents occurred for vessels in the ports and terminals environments, and most of those (813) were in ports and harbours when docked. RightShip gathers global incident data from various leading sources, including PSC, MOUs, classification societies, flag states, shipowner and managers self-reporting and other data sources. Many port authorities and the operations teams within ports and terminals want to adopt high operational standards to reduce complicated and inherent risks, and maintain high operating performance. RightShip sees leaders in the ports and terminals operations sector tackling incident numbers by using a combination of data focused on pre-arrivals and departures and sharing information as a community to improve supply chain risk. This will improve the overall efficiency of a port’s operations while reducing costly and time-consuming incidents.

法国达飞为其超大型集装箱船安装挡风板

法国集装箱航运巨头达飞集团(CMA CGM)在其超大型集装箱船“马可波罗”号的船首配备了挡风装置。据悉,这一挡风板能够改善船舶的空气动力性能,从而降低燃料消耗,减少船舶碳足迹。对此,达飞表示:“我们将通过试验进行测试,以此决定是否将这一装置安装在达飞的其他船舶上。”事实上,日本海洋网联船务(ONE)在去年就已为其超大型集装箱船“ONE Trust”安装了船首挡风板,达飞则紧随其后。各大航运公司考虑将这一装置作为能源转型战略的一部分,帮助船队达到即将生效的航运减排法规要求。

French container shipping major CMA CGM has equipped its ultra-large containership CMA CGM Marco Polo with a new windshield prototype. The device improves a vessel’s aerodynamics resulting in lower fuel consumption and thus contributing to a lower carbon footprint of the vessel, the shipowner said. “If the results are conclusive, the same windshield will be installed in other CMA CGM vessels,” CMA CGM announced. Actually, CMA CGM follows in the footsteps of Ocean Network Express (ONE) which has also fitted the so-called ‘wind deflector’ on board its containership ONE Trust. The device is being trialed as part of the shipowner’s energy transition strategy as the company looks at ways of reducing its carbon footprint and meeting environmental regulations set to enter into force.

在2023年菲律宾国际海事船舶博览会期间,俄罗斯海事行业协会MARINET推出了用于海员培训的虚拟现实(VR)模拟器。据MARINET介绍,模拟器可搭建逼真的航行环境与驾驶台操作场景,通过控件和设备实现人机交互。此外,模拟器的数学模型还能够模拟船舶机电设备及其接口的运行状态。VR模拟器不仅能够在任何场地上快速搭建起培训场景,扩大培训规模,降低培训成本,还可以模拟一些特种船舶的工作环境,大大提高了特种作业人员的培训质量。

MARINET, an industry association, introduced virtual reality (VR) simulators for seafarer training during Expo Maritime Philippines 2023. According to MARINET, the simulators can create a complete picture of both the navigational environment and the equipment on the ship's bridge merging virtual interaction with controls and devices. In addition, mathematical models of simulators model the state and the behavior of the ship's equipment and its interfaces.They allow to quickly deploy training equipment in almost any room at minimal cost, which increases the number of trainees and reduces training cost. Also, they make it possible to simulate a specific vessel a seafarer would have to work, i.e. significantly improve the quality of training for a specific mission.
